Kronos is proud to partner with several world class facilities for the majority of our indoor season training. Wherever possible, we look for facilities and locations that are reasonably accessible to all quadrants of the city.

MRU (Mount Royal University)

Mount Royal Univesity (4825 Mount Royal Gate SW) is our primary training facility through the indoor months. This includes swimming, fall outdoor running, winter indoor running, indoor stationary cycling, and various special events through the season (swim meets, splash & dash, and more!).

Revolution spin studio

Some programs include special Kronos spin sessions (custom tailored to the needs of Triathletes) at the Revolution Spin Studio, located inside of the Jewish Community Center (1607 90th Ave SW).

This is a state of the art facility using indoor stationary smart trainers (bring your own bike), and computerized programming tailored for our triathlon program.

NGP (North Glenmore Park)

During the outdoor season, a good portion of our run & cycling takes place at North Glenmore Park (southern tip of Crowchild trail, in Lakeview).

This area provides an abundance of pathways optimal for run training. Cycling opportunities in the park and nearby including some of Calgary’s best path, road, hill, and technical hotspots. The grass fields are perfect for triathlon skill training! The area is also popular with parents & siblings who often enjoy the park themselves while their athlete is at practice.

Velodrome

Some programs feature optional track cycling at the Calgary Velodrome (Glenmore Athletic Park, 5300, 19 Street SW), Calgary’s very own high performance track cycling facility. This is a great way for our performance athletes to work on drafting skills and high speed cycling in a safe closed loop.

SPOP (Stanley Park Outdoor Pool)

During the summer months, some of our programs shift to outdoor swims in the morning. Our athletes look forward to this every year and enjoy swimming in the (usually) pleasant morning weather! Stanley Park is located on the south side of downtown, at 4a St SW & Riverdale Ave SW.

Cross Training Nights

Varies through the season - examples may include various gyms, climbing walls, cross country skiing, skating, mountain biking, sports, yoga, and many other adventures!

Various Outdoor LAKE Swim Locations

Our club schedules occasional swims at outdoor lakes throughout Calgary. Examples include Auburn Bay, Mahogany, Lake Bonavista, Mckenzie Lake, Sundance, Midnapore and more! These provide a great opportunity to prepare athletes for open water swimming.

Advanced Bike Rides (Sr Performance & Up)

Our older age groups typical cycle in the springbank area (leaving from Westide King’s Church) and Edworthy Park. This is some of the best cycling in Calgary!

Various outdoor bike rides

Some programs feature outdoor cycling at various locations. These are hand picked by our coaches and may include Fish Creek Park, Glenmore Park, Springbank, Bragg Creek, Trans Canada Trail, Canmore, Chestermere canals, and more!

Strength Training / Flexibility Training

(JR performance & Up) - TBD for 2019/20 season.
