SWIM BIKE PLAY! PROGRAM | 2 - 9 YEARS

 

WHO IS THE PROGRAM FOR

  • The program is perfect for both the young athlete who is starting out in the pool or learning to ride a bike and the young athlete looking for multi-sport skills to help in future development.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • SWIM: In this program coaches will be in the pool with athletes to assist in learning the skills needed to succeed in the pool. For children aged 2-3, a parent or guardian will be required to be in the pool during the swim portion. 

  • BIKE: The program uses games and interactive activities on strider bikes (no pedals) to help athletes learn to ride a bike. Young athletes who already know how to ride can master cycling skills with challenges and drills in a controlled indoor environment. Indoor gym spaces will be utilized for these sessions. 

  • PLAY:  Through physical literacy games and run drills, young athletes will develop the physical skills needed to live an active and healthy lifestyle. Physical literacy is best developed when done in a fun and interactive environment. 

PREREQUISITES

  • At this level, there are no prerequisites; only the motivation to explore something new, be active, and have fun is encouraged.

DATES

We have four different age categories within our program, each assigned to train at specific time of the year:

  • 2-3 years old: 6 Sundays (November 5, 12, 19, December 3, 10, 17) NO PRACTICE NOV 26 (Kronos Splash nā€™ Dash)

  • 4-5 years old: 6 Sundays (January 14, 21, 28, February 4, 11, 25) NO PRACTICE FEB 18 (Family Day Weekend)

  • 6-7 years old: 6 Sundays (March 3, 10, 17, 24, April 7, 14) NO PRACTICE MAR 31 (Easter)

  • 8-9 years old: 6 Sundays ( April 21, 28, May 5, 12, June 2, 9) NO PRACTICE MAY 19 (May Long Weekend)

Age as of the of October 31, 2022. Athletes may be moved to a different age group upon coaches' discretion and ability. For athletes aged 2-7, parents are required to be present in the change rooms to ensure their safety and well-being during training sessions.

SCHEDULE

We meet EVERY SUNDAY, 1:30 - 3:30PM to share our love for swimming, biking, and running.

  • PLAY: 1:30 - 2:15PM

  • BIKE: 2:15 - 2:45PM

  • SWIM: 3:00 - 3:30PM
